4.3 Access control based on IP Address

This section explains how to use the access control based on IP Address to allow access to the portal.

Note: If the access control based on IP Address is applied, immediately after application the users will not be able to log in to the Business Portal with the exception of the access from the network in which the IP Addresses are registered. You have to set in the following procedure to prevent your all users from not logging in to the Business Portal.

 

4.3.1 Set users to apply Access control based on IP Address

1. Move the cursor over Portal Management menu. Click Access restriction setting in the menu, Mange Access (User Exemptions) screen (Figure 4-21) is displayed.

2. Click Edit access restrictions.

3. After Edit access control settings (Application status of access restrictions) is displayed, choose radio button of Restricted in the row of user you want to apply Access control based on IP Address (Figure 4-23).

4.3.2 Set IP Addresses to allow access to Portal

Click IP address to allow access tab in the Edit access control settings screen. (Figure 4-24)

After the section of IP address to allow access on the Edit access control settings screen is displayed, click Edit to add permitted IP address (Figure 4-25).

After the Permitted Networks screen is displayed, click +Add on the bottom left to add IP Address and Sub-net Mask allowed access to the portal, (Figure 4-25).

After the Add Access Permitted Network screen is displayed, enter IP Address,Sub-net Mask and description allowed access to the portal, and click Add (Figure 4-26).

Note: Enter the IP Address separated by periods the octet as “255.255.255.255”. And enter the Subnet Mask after the IP Address, such as “255.255.255.255/32″

4.3.3 Enable Access control based on IP Address

1. Click Edit in Enable/disable access restrictions tab on the Edit access control settings screen (Figure 4-27, 28).

2. Select Enable and click Apply (Figure 4-29).
