We provide a function to skip the second authentication (one-time password authentication using TOTP or MailOTP) for a certain period of time from a device (browser) that has successfully passed two-step authentication once when logging into a business portal.

Situations where the second authentication is skipped

If you access again within 10 days from a device (browser) that has successfully passed two-step authentication once, you will be able to log in using only ID/PWD authentication. Additionally, if you log in again within 10 days, the second authentication skip will be enabled for 10 days from that point.

Setting the 2-step verification skip function

This feature is enabled according to the settings of the portal administrator. By default, the 2-step verification skip function is disabled. You can enable it by following the steps below.

 1. Select “Setting to skip the second authentication” menu from “Manage your Portal” menu in Global Navigation.

2. Click “Edit” button in “Setting to skip the second authentication” screen.

3.After “Edit the setting to skip the second authentication” screen is displayed, you can set the policy for skipping the second authentication in your portal. Please refer the description for setting items and set it.

If you check “Change all users at once”, the setting for all users in your portal will be changed.

Click Apply to complete the setup.

4.If you want to turn ON/OFF the 2-Step Verification Skip setting for each user, click “Per-user settings” tab and click the “Edit” button for the user for whom you want to configure 2-Step Verification Skip setting.

5. The “Setting to skip the second authentication” pop-up screen for the selected user will be displayed. Select “Skip” or “No skip” and click “Apply”.

How to set it up by users themselves

If the portal administrator sets “Allows or Disallows changing the setting to skip the second authentication for General Users” in “Setting to skip the second authentication” to “Changeable”, users in your portal can configure the 2-step verification skip settings themselves.

1.Select “Customer Profile” in “Profile menu”.

2. Click “Edit Profile” button in Profile screen.

3.”Setting to the second authentication” will be displayed on the “Edit Profile” screen, so select “No skip” or “Skip” and click Apply.
